FishCoin beta on Android

The beta is distributed through Google Play's testing track, so it installs and updates exactly like a normal app.

  1. Install it from Google Play

    Tap below on the phone you want it on, signed in with the same Google account you use for the Play Store. FishCoin installs and updates like any other app — there is nothing to join first.

  2. If Play will not give it to you

    On some accounts and devices the listing does not offer a test build. Opening the open-test page enrols that Google account explicitly, and the listing above will then work. You only ever need this once, and most people never need it at all.

  3. Allow the camera and location

    The camera is what does the measuring. Location is only used to show tournaments near you, and the app works without it.

  4. Get a FishCoin token in the shot

    The app measures your catch by comparing it against the token, so the token has to be in the photo, lying flat and in the same plane as the fish. No token yet? Get in touch from the home page.

Sent an APK file instead? Then you are installing it directly rather than through Play, and Android will ask you to allow installs from wherever you opened it — your browser or Files. That prompt is expected. Turn the permission back off afterwards; it is not needed again, and leaving it on is what makes sideloading risky rather than the act itself.

Changed your mind later? You can close your FishCoin account and have your personal information destroyed at fishcoin.ai/delete-account — no app and no login needed, so it still works after you have uninstalled. That page also says plainly what deletion does not remove, which is worth reading before you install rather than after.
What we would like to know. Whether the measurement matched your tape, and by how much. That single number is worth more to us than anything else you could send — it is the one thing we cannot measure ourselves.
