Sign in to compete

Challenges and tournaments now need an account. Sign in with Apple or Google from the prompt, or Settings > Public profile.

Your catches come with you. Signing in adds a name to the account this phone is already using — it does not start a new one, and nothing in your gallery moves. If you have been using the app, this changes nothing about what is in it.
Recording and measuring catches still needs no account at all. The only things behind sign-in are the ones addressed to somebody: a challenge, or a tournament entry.

Why: a challenge goes out in your name, and the anglers in it need a way to reach you. Four challenges sent before this build reached nobody, because the accounts that sent them had no name, no email and no phone number attached. Those are the ones that never arrived.

A full profile is now required

Before sending a challenge or entering a tournament, you need a display name and a verified email. You are asked once and it is remembered. A prize with no way to contact the winner is not a prize.

Standings, in the app

Compete > Standings. Biggest fish, total length and fish count, all-time or this month, with everyone's catch thumbnails. Tap a catch to open it full screen, same as your own gallery. The same board is at fishcoin.ai/standings.

Known limits in this build

Only catches the app is confident about are counted, and that is still a minority — most come back as "being checked". If you land a good fish and it does not count, that is our measurement pipeline rather than anything you did, and we want to hear about it.
Species restrictions on a challenge are not enforced. Nothing identifies a species automatically, so every measured fish counts.
Invites go out by email. A challenge sent to a phone number will not notify them yet.
Nothing settles a finished challenge yet — scores are live throughout, but there is no final result screen.

What would help most

Tape-measure a fish and enter the number. It is the only real reference we have, and every one of them makes the measurements better.

Second most: send a challenge to somebody and tell us whether it arrived. That is the path that was broken, and it is the one worth hammering.
