What's new since build 18
On open testing, and this is the current build. You can install it from FishCoin's page on Google Play — there is nothing to join and no invitation needed.
If you have ever tapped a button in FishCoin and had nothing happen — Save on your public profile, Send on a challenge, the big button at the bottom of a screen — this is what it was, and it is fixed.
On Android 15 and 16 the system draws apps behind the status bar at the top and the navigation bar at the bottom, and it is the app's job to keep its own content clear of them. FishCoin was not doing that anywhere. Content slid underneath, and a button that ends up under the navigation bar is still drawn, still looks normal, and is partly or completely untappable.
Nothing you did was wrong, and nothing was broken about your phone.
Every screen now keeps its content clear of both bars. The one screen that deliberately still fills the whole display is the full-screen catch photo, which is meant to.
Google requires apps to be built against Android 16 from the end of August. This build is. There is nothing for you to do; it is listed so the notes are complete.
The fix has been tested automatically, including a test that reproduces the exact conditions Android 15 and 16 impose and confirms the fix is what stops content sliding under the bars.
It has NOT yet been looked at by a person on a phone running Android 15 or 16. The test devices here run older Android. Two things in particular are unproven: how much clearance gesture navigation needs at the very bottom, and whether the strip behind the status bar is the right colour on the dark screens. If something looks wrong at the top or bottom edge, that is the most likely place, and we would like to hear about it.
Recording a catch, measuring it, signing in and your gallery are unchanged.
